What is a Police Clearance Certificate (PCC)?
A Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) is an official statement issued by a police or interior ministry confirming that, based on government records, the named individual has no criminal convictions in that jurisdiction. In the UAE, the Dubai Police PCC is issued through the official Dubai Police app or website and is widely required by foreign immigration authorities (Canada, Australia, UK, Schengen and more) when applying for migration, permanent residence, work permits or long-stay visas. Going the other way, a PCC issued by your home country must be attested by the home-country MOFA, the UAE Embassy abroad and MOFAIC in Dubai before UAE authorities, employers or family-sponsorship offices will accept it.
