Apostille Attestation in Dubai
The UAE joined the Hague Apostille Convention in 2025. Benchmark obtains the MOFA-issued apostille on UAE personal, educational and commercial documents so they are legally accepted across 125+ member countries — without embassy runs.

What Is an Apostille?
An apostille is a single legalisation stamp issued under the 1961 Hague Convention that authenticates the origin of a public document. Once apostilled by the issuing country's competent authority — in the UAE that is MOFA — the document is accepted directly in all other Hague member countries without further embassy legalisation.
How UAE Apostille Works
Benchmark first confirms the destination country is a Hague member and reviews the document to ensure it is signed by a UAE-recognised authority. We complete any prior notarisation or ministry step required, then submit the document to MOFA Dubai for the apostille stamp and courier the original to you.
Why It Replaces Embassy Attestation
For documents leaving the UAE for a Hague country, an apostille replaces the older embassy attestation chain. It is one stamp, from one authority, and is accepted directly in the destination. It saves time and money — and removes the need to visit foreign embassies in Abu Dhabi or Dubai.
When Do You Need an Apostille?
Any UAE-issued personal, educational or commercial document destined for a Hague Convention country needs a MOFA apostille.
Migrating or studying abroad
Degrees, transcripts and personal certificates apostilled for use in the US, UK, Canada, Australia, Europe and beyond.
Overseas employment
UAE experience letters, police clearance and educational documents apostilled for foreign employers and immigration authorities.
Cross-border business
Powers of attorney, board resolutions, incorporation certificates and commercial invoices apostilled for use overseas.
Family & personal matters
Marriage, birth and divorce certificates apostilled for family visas or inheritance abroad. Pairs with Dubai police clearance.

Top reasons documents get rejected.
Each of these rejections is preventable with a proper pre-check.
Destination is not a Hague member
Countries outside the Hague Convention still require the traditional embassy attestation chain, not an apostille.
Missing prior notary or ministry stamp
MOFA will not apostille a document that lacks the mandatory prior authority endorsement.
Wrong name spelling
Any mismatch between the document and passport spelling halts the file at MOFA review.
Laminated or altered originals
MOFA counters reject laminated, torn or tampered documents.
Transparent pricing.
