Privacy policy

How Benchmark Attestation Services collects, uses and protects your personal information and the documents you send us for MOFA, apostille, embassy and PRO services in the UAE.

Last updated 3 July 2026

Benchmark Attestation Services ("Benchmark", "we", "us") is a Dubai-based document attestation agency operating at onlineattestation.com. This policy explains, in plain language, what personal information we hold about you, why we hold it, and the choices you have. It applies to every visitor to our website and every customer who engages our services in the UAE or abroad.

Information we collect

We collect only the information required to attest, apostille, translate or deliver your documents. That includes contact details you submit through our website forms, WhatsApp or phone (name, mobile number, email, service required), copies of the certificates you send us for processing, delivery addresses in the UAE and abroad, and payment references from your invoice.

We do not collect ID data — Emirates ID number, passport number, financial account numbers — unless a specific attestation, embassy submission or PRO service legally requires it. When it is required, we tell you before you send it.

How we use your information

Your information is used strictly to quote, process and deliver the service you asked for. That covers advising you on the correct attestation chain, submitting your certificate to the notary, MOFA, home-country embassy or the UAE embassy abroad, coordinating pickup and courier delivery, sending you status updates and invoices, and keeping a lawful record of the transaction.

We never sell your data. We never share it for advertising. We do not use your documents for anything other than the attestation you requested.

Document handling and security

Original certificates in our custody are logged on receipt, held in a secure office in Dubai, and released only through tracked delivery to you or a person you nominate in writing. Digital copies (scans, WhatsApp photos, email attachments) are stored on access-controlled systems, encrypted in transit, and are retained only as long as needed to finish the job and satisfy UAE record-keeping obligations.

You can request deletion of your digital copies once the service is complete — see 'Your rights' below.

When we share data with third parties

We share only what is necessary with the government authorities that carry out the attestation itself — the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs, home-country notaries and ministries, foreign embassies in the UAE, the UAE embassy in your country of origin — and with the courier we use to return your originals.

We may also share information with our regulated payment processor to collect your fee, and with our tax auditor to satisfy UAE VAT obligations. These parties act as data processors and cannot use your data for their own purposes.

Cookies and analytics

Our website uses a small number of first-party cookies to remember your preferences and privacy-friendly analytics to understand which service pages are useful. We do not run advertising-network cookies and we do not build behavioural profiles on visitors.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser at any time — the site will continue to work.

Your rights

You can, at any time, ask us to confirm what data we hold about you, correct anything that is wrong, delete digital copies of your documents once the service is complete, or withdraw your consent to receive updates. We respond to these requests within 30 days.

Send requests to sales@onlineattestation.com from the email address you originally used to contact us.

International transfers

Some attestation chains require your documents to leave the UAE — for example, apostille of a foreign degree in the country of origin, or UAE-embassy attestation abroad. In those cases your data leaves the UAE only to complete the specific step you asked us to arrange, and only with the government office involved.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes to UAE regulations or how we operate. The 'Last updated' date at the top of the page shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be highlighted on this page for 30 days.
