French diplome and Cour d'Appel apostille prepared for UAE attestation

What Is French Attestation?

French attestation legalises documents issued in France for UAE use. Because France is a Hague Convention country, the Cour d'Appel issues an apostille — but UAE authorities still require the UAE Embassy Paris and MOFA Dubai stamps on top, plus a certified Arabic translation for most ministries.

How the Chain Works

A Notaire or the issuing body signs the document, the Cour d'Appel with jurisdiction over that signatory applies the apostille, the UAE Embassy in Paris legalises it, MOFA Dubai finalises acceptance and a certified translator produces the Arabic version for local use.

Why It Matters

UAE employment visas, DHA / DoH / KHDA licensing, family sponsorship, Golden Visa and company registration all require attested French documents. The Cour d'Appel apostille alone is rarely accepted by UAE ministries.

WHEN YOU NEED IT

When Do You Need French Attestation?

French documents used across UAE education, licensing and immigration routes.

  • Diplomes & transcripts

For KHDA/DHA/MOH licensing and UAE university admission. See degree attestation.

  • État civil records

Acte de naissance, mariage and décès for family visa. See marriage attestation.

  • Casier Judiciaire

French police clearance for UAE Golden Visa. See PCC services.

  • K-bis & commercial

Extrait K-bis, statuts and invoices — see commercial attestation.

The Process

Four steps, handled by us.

Five coordinated stages from Notaire to MOFA Dubai.

  1. 01

    Notaire / Mairie

Notaire certifies the copy or signature, or the Mairie / issuing body signs the original état civil record.

  2. 02

    Cour d'Appel

The Cour d'Appel with jurisdiction over the signatory applies the Hague apostille.

  3. 03

    UAE Embassy Paris

UAE Embassy in Paris legalises the apostilled document for UAE acceptance.

  4. 04

    MOFA + translation

MOFA Dubai finalises attestation and a certified Arabic translation is prepared where required.

Passport & UAE visa

Colour scan of the holder's passport bio page and UAE residence visa or entry stamp.

Purpose letter

UAE employer, university or licensing body letter stating the reason for attestation.

Avoid rejections

Top reasons documents get rejected.

Preventable issues that stall French attestation.

  • Wrong Cour d'Appel

The apostille must be issued by the Cour d'Appel with jurisdiction over the signatory — not just any French court.

  • Recent Casier Judiciaire required

UAE authorities typically require the Casier Judiciaire issued within the last 3 months.

  • Name mismatch

Spelling differences between certificate, passport and Emirates ID block downstream UAE applications.

  • Missing Arabic translation

UAE ministries reject French-only documents — certified Arabic translation is required after MOFA Dubai.
