What Is French Attestation?
French attestation legalises documents issued in France for UAE use. Because France is a Hague Convention country, the Cour d'Appel issues an apostille — but UAE authorities still require the UAE Embassy Paris and MOFA Dubai stamps on top, plus a certified Arabic translation for most ministries.
How the Chain Works
A Notaire or the issuing body signs the document, the Cour d'Appel with jurisdiction over that signatory applies the apostille, the UAE Embassy in Paris legalises it, MOFA Dubai finalises acceptance and a certified translator produces the Arabic version for local use.
Why It Matters
UAE employment visas, DHA / DoH / KHDA licensing, family sponsorship, Golden Visa and company registration all require attested French documents. The Cour d'Appel apostille alone is rarely accepted by UAE ministries.
When Do You Need French Attestation?

Four steps, handled by us.
Five coordinated stages from Notaire to MOFA Dubai.
- 01
Notaire / Mairie
Notaire certifies the copy or signature, or the Mairie / issuing body signs the original état civil record.
- 02
Cour d'Appel
The Cour d'Appel with jurisdiction over the signatory applies the Hague apostille.
- 03
UAE Embassy Paris
UAE Embassy in Paris legalises the apostilled document for UAE acceptance.
- 04
MOFA + translation
MOFA Dubai finalises attestation and a certified Arabic translation is prepared where required.

Wrong Cour d'Appel

Recent Casier Judiciaire required
UAE authorities typically require the Casier Judiciaire issued within the last 3 months.
Name mismatch
Spelling differences between certificate, passport and Emirates ID block downstream UAE applications.
Missing Arabic translation
UAE ministries reject French-only documents — certified Arabic translation is required after MOFA Dubai.
